Anniversary 2020

Anniversary photo #15 done! No smile from Felix this year. Leo is just into wearing dresses right now. There is an encampment at the park now, so it felt really intrusive to take pictures, but we tried to be quiet and respectful.

Projects

Today I project-ed:

Cleaned out the fridge

Fixed the gate to the backyard, so we'd be legal and safe with the pool. I raised the gate and lowered the latch.

Fixed the leaking pipe going to the toilet AND installed our new bidet seat.

Put a new "easy clean" toilet seat in the upstairs bathroom. I'm 100% over wood seats until the boys are grown.

Found a free desk for Felix's room too. It fits like it was made for the room!

All of this took 4 trips to the hardware store!

FUture Projects:

Clean out the garage
Read fast track
Read Stamped

Paint Leo's room
Paint the basement main
Paint the basement bath
Paint the music room
Fix bathroom sink
Install a fan in bathroom
Replace the front storm door
Replace the side strom door
Replace side door tread
Seal basement shower
Sell the canoe
Clean out the Laundry room
Remove/reset the rocks around the house

Yikes. So Pandemic is happening. This is so weird. School is over for the next 3 weeks. We did some prepping of the kids yesterday. Rellie was outraged. She insisted she was going to school no matter what we say. Then today, when the Governor cancelled school as of Wednesday, they were more accepting. This isn't just something their crazy parents are making them do.

So we played Pandemic the board game and went to the library. I called in sick for tomorrow because I actually am sick with a cold. School is open tomorrow, but I don't know what we will actually do.

So the kids are banding together for the moment. They are playing kahoot games, and making smoothies together. They have made a list of fun things to do. I don't know how long this will last, but it is heartwarming to experience.

Build that wall

YeeeeeK! I'm so excited.
a few months ago we did a big basement clean out, including some boxes that hadn't been touched since we moved in. After that I looked at the space and realized that we could actually put another room down there. Then we would be able to free up a room so all three kids could have their own rooms. I made plans to DIY, but then decided we'd all be much happier hiring a professional.

So a couple of handy men later ,we have put down money to have the wall start this week!

The wall and door will go across this section.
