So as of today, I am officially "excessed" from my position. This means Minneapolis owes me a job somewhere, doing something next year, but my current position will not be there. One more step in the giant soap opera that is MPS. I can interview for any vacancies, and if I don't find one, they find a position for me.

I suppose it is better than being laid off (which could still happen any time before September). Maybe I could get into a south side school and cut my commute down. I know a few people who are optimistic I can find a computer job for next year. Stay tuned.
