Monday Monday, Uplifting Monday

Relia went to daycare, I went to pick up plastic tubs to pack stuff away in. I made a stop at MOA and things at Carter's were 50-60% off. That is bad news. I only spent $30 though.

Then I met my mom to do some plant shopping. I know it is late in the season, but I need some motivation to work on the outside of the house. As we were placing some of the plants, I noticed that one of our basement windows was broken. Grrrr. Our newest neighbors have been sitting up against there for about a month now and passive aggressive me has only groused about it to my husband. I knew this would happen. I had a minor fit over it because I knew it didn't just happen today. Which means that the person who did it, didn't bother to tell me about it or even clean up the glass.

One of the neighbors was sitting on their front steps and heard me griping, and my mom even asked him (more nicely than I could have) if he knew anything about it. He answered no. But he must have talked to his roommates because over the course of the day 5 people apologized for it an offered to pay for fixing it.

I feel so much better. I still have to fix the stupid window, on top of everything else I'm trying to fix, but I do have a little more faith in humanity, and I got to meet my neighbors. I know their names now, I know where they work and where they are from. They know what I do, and that I would love for them to teach Relia some Spanish.
