drive to Lake of the Isles
park and walk the neighborhood
chat about the houses we like
and what aspects we would want for our own living space
push Relia on her trike
it begins to sprinkle
head for Sebastian Joe's.
sit down with Relia's first cup of SJ's ice cream
it starts to pour
continues for five whole minutes
finish our peach, banana cream, and swiss almond ice cream
Relia has become sugar/bedtime zombie
walk back to the car in sunshine
with Relia on daddy's shoulders
touching the leaves as she passes by
drive home
listen to my wonderful husband read a bedtime story
Beautiful. I love that you captured that moment. Even though "the rest of the story" wasn't as idyllic it's so perfect to see that both are part of this whole parenting thing.
